Big Publishers are Dead—Publishing books is alive and well today.
In fact, you can publish your own book.
You will probably need to get help from a service based publisher like Pixel Glyph Press — or take one of the publishing training courses at 1Train1.com, but in the end, self-publishing means you OWN your book along with all of the rights, privileges, and income that can come with it.
There is no longer the need to give away your work or to a major publishing house. They provide next to nothing for your book, except the network and connections to services that are available on the open market today.
Access is no longer a scarce commodity! Information is free, and you can get good quality information, support, and serivce for very little investment.
The key is to know HOW to do it so you can make smart choices.

Don’t pay money for a publisher who is selling promises!
Instead, find mentors and teachers who help you succeed by helping you to become a better writer—find services that will show you how to become a published author!

What they gave him was worse than what he had provided them initially to work with!
Wasting your time and money can be such a discouragement, and he mentioned it to me during one of our Photoshop training sessions. I got angry first, then sad, then quickly realized that we could move forward and publish!
I am very pleased to say that because of the trust and friendship we built in training, Michael Salmon is now a published author with a beautiful children’s book that came from the design services of Pixel Glyph Press.

He is just one recent story of success, but he almost lost heart and faith in publishers.
There are so many independent publishers out there now. This means something—a couple of things acutally.
First: what’s so special about publishers? You can become a publisher if you want to. But would you really want to?
I became a publisher with just a very small investment and one customer!
Okay, the second thing this indicates is that—if there are publishers everywhere, there is probably plenty of opportunity in the publishing business!
